Over the last wee while we’ve come across a small issue with Divi and some hosting providers that can create a massive headache.
The issue is that, after saving a page, all of the line breaks are removed from Text Modules (the <p> and <br> HTML tags are stripped out).
The result is that your carefully edited piece of prose becomes like a stream-of-consiousness, Kerouc-esque single block of text.
What to do? Re-editing the entire block of text to correct the formatting is no guarantee that it will actually stay that way.
Well according to Elegant Themes their development team is ‘working on it’ – but in the meantime they suggest this fix.
Download the TinyMCE Advanced plugin, go to the Settings page, and tick “Stop removing the <p> and <br /> tags when saving and show them in the Text editor”.
Sure, it’s a work-around for now, but it also enables a couple of cool functions in the Visual Editor toolbar that you’ll no-doubt end up making use of. So… win-win!
